Since 1925, the Illums Bolighus brand has been a Danish design icon, and the furnishings business offers a universe full of inspiration and a wealth of experiences. With stores in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Germany, Illums Bolighus has created a completely unique brand representing Nordic design, with a customer base across the entire Nordic region.
How do you take one of Denmark’s most iconic design houses, one that’s based in a lot of history and emotion, and begin to digitally transform it on Facebook and Instagram? You set ambitious goals, hire the right people and get to work.
Every campaign was given its own funnel setup and integrated into existing marketing activities, among them email marketing, Google Ads, organic Instagram and Facebook posts and website promotion.
Focusing on one campaign rather than 150 different ones simultaneously made it easier to get to know the customers. It also allowed us to gather the data necessary to create a bulletproof remarketing flow.
It’s no secret: Some customers have a longer journey than others before choosing to buy one or more products. Follow-ups should never be underestimated, and in this case, they definitely weren’t. They were an important element, allowing for the (re)activation of customers and getting them to buy again, again and again.
